the art of playing wide receiver:

(feat. Derek Hagan)

Derek Hagan is a 9-year NFL Veteran who is originally from Los Angeles, CA, Derek was drafted in the 3rd round by the Miami Dolphins in 2006 after leaving Arizona State as its most decorated Wide Receiver of all time. He still holds school records for career catches, receiving yards & receiving touchdowns!

After a 9-year NFL career, Derek started his own business & apparel line, began a career as a radio host & TV personality back at his alma mater before recently joining Herm Edwards staff at Arizona State as an Offensive Analyst coach this spring!

Derek has just about seen it all in a short time as a legendary College Football player, a seasoned NFL veteran, an entrepreneur & businessman and now as a Division 1 College Football coach. He has a lot to share!

overcoming adversity: life in the NFL & beyond

(feat. Mohamed Massaquoi)

This is an incredible interview with former NFL Wide Receiver & former Georgia Bulldog Mohamed Massaquoi.

Mo was a 2nd Round pick for the Cleveland Browns in the 2009 NFL Draft where he led the team in receiving as a rookie. Prior to that he was a 4 year starter at the University of Georgia under head coach Mark Richt and finished his high school career with an undefeated record over 4 years at Independence High School in Charlotte, NC.

In April 2017, Mohamed was involved in a tragic ATV accident that forced him to have 4 fingers amputated. He now wears a one of a kind prosthetic and has since become a motivational speaker and runs a charity that supports children that have experienced amputations and need prosthetics themselves.

the art of the double move:

(feat. Juwann Winfree)

Juwann and I met serendipitously through Twitter. Last season he ran a great double move post route vs. USC for a TD that “put him on the map” as he says.
I saw the clip and broke it down on Twitter & Instagram as part of our #TeachTapes series without knowing anything about Juwann.
It was the first video of ours that “went viral” on Twitter with about 80,000 views a bunch of people started to tweet at me that Juwann was from New Jersey originally.
I messaged Juwann on Twitter asking him if he would like to do a podcast with me to follow up the video and after the podcast we agreed to train together for the first time when he was home in NJ in May 2018.

Fast forward to January 2019 & I just finished a week of training with him Colorado preparing for the NFL draft.

What you’re about to hear is the first phone conversation Juwann and I ever had. I was on the go at the time and recorded it all from my cell phone. (Excuse the audio!)

Juwann briefly tells us about his path from Englewood, NJ to the University of Colorado before we dive deeper into Wide Receiver play and specifically “The Art of the Double Move”.
